A miniature dark adaptometer to measure monophasic rod function, used with disposable masks, permitted 11 measurements to be taken in 1 1/2 hours. The light source, tritium-phosphoric sulfide gas, had a known brightness decay rate incorporated in the calibration table which is provided with the instrument.
