From 12-19 June, the Pre-School Playgroups Association is holding National Playgroup Week. This week is being celebrated by the PPA's 10,000 members in England and Wales and its sister organizations in Scotland and Ireland. Playgroups came into being 15 years ago and their numbers have mushroomed in the last few years. In this article we look at the contribution a playgroup can make to the community.
