The rewards of volunteering are as varied as the organizations in and around Chicago that serve special populations. Some of these patients have special needs, others simply cannot afford to pay for their own dental care. Whatever the reason, the outcome always seems to be the same: Patients are treated and dentists find that maybe they chose this profession for something more than just a way to earn a paycheck.
