Abstract

Eggs of zebrafish Brachydanio rerio were heat-shocked just after fertilisation to induce triploidy and subsequently subjected to microinjection with the linear recombinant plasmid containing the Rous Sarcoma Virus-Long Terminal Repeat (RSV-LTR) promoter linked to the rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) growth hormone (GH)cDNA(pRSVrtGH). Slot and Southern analyses showed the extra chromosomal transfer of pRSVrtGH. Expression of pRSVrtGH was detected in the triploid transformants by RNA slot, Northern and Western analyses.
