The presence of supernumerary teeth is not uncommon but there have been very few documented cases of bilateral maxillary and mandibular supernumeraries distal to third molars. This case study looks at the frequency of and complications arising from supernumeraries as well as specifically covering the presentation and subsequent removal in practice of five supernumeraries distal to third molars. Good and thorough radiographs are essential for correct diagnosis.
