Pulsatile tinnitus associated with a pulsating swelling were the presenting clinical features of a patient who had suffered contusion to the pre-auricular area. The diagnosis of arteriovenous fistula (AVF) was made, and the child underwent operation. The pathology of this condition is reviewed.
