An anesthetic apparatus is described that is capable of delivering easily controlled, constant ether-air mixtures to rats and other small laboratory animals. The apparatus is readily calibrated and is stable for extended periods of time under laboratory conditions. In addition, the apparatus can be constructed of commonly available components.
