Nocturnal penile tumescence monitoring (NPT) is a non-invasive method to differentiate between organic and psychogenic impotence. The routine use of NPT monitoring in the evaluation of impotence is not effective due to its moderate sensitivity and specificity with small therapeutic benefit and relatively high costs. Patient's selection by intracavernous pharmacotest can improve the efficiency of the investigation, so the method can help to secure the diagnosis of a psychogenic impotence and then take effect on adequate therapy.
夜间阴茎勃起监测（NPT）是一种区分器质性和心因性阳痿的非侵入性方法。由于其敏感性和特异性中等、治疗益处小且成本相对较高，在阳痿评估中常规使用NPT监测并不有效。通过海绵体内药物试验进行患者选择可以提高检查效率，因此该方法有助于确诊心因性阳痿，进而对适当治疗产生效果。
