Abstract
The effect of ionizing radiation on the coronary vessels was studied on rabbits whose cardiac areas were irradiated at a dose of 2400 rads. This exposure led to dilatation and stricture of small vessels. The most significant changes were found in the system of the left coronary artery at an early post-irradiation period.
