Abstract

OBJECTIVE

To report an additional case of incarceration of the penis by a heavy metallic object.

METHODS/RESULTS: A case of incarceration of the penis by a heavy metallic object (3400 gm) that was resolved by multiple puncture of the glans penis is described. After release, no complications were observed; penile morphology was completely recovered, erectile function was preserved and micturition was normal.

CONCLUSION

Multiple puncture of the glans penis was demonstrated to be useful in the management of this case of penile incarceration.
