Echoscopic and echographic differential diagnosis of pancreatic lesions.

Combined echoscopic and echographic examination enables accurate display of the pancreatic region. Furthermore, this method yields reliable results in demonstrating pathological changes of the pancreas caused by acute pancreatitis, acute necrotising pancreatitis, pancreatic pseudocyst and neoplasm of the pancreas. The characteristic ultrasonographic findings in these diseases are presented and the differential diagnosis is briefly discussed.
