Lead encephalopathy: case reports.

Six cases of lead encephalopathy in Black children are described. There was a delay in the diagnosis of the first 4 cases, partly owing to a lack of awareness of the possibility of exposure to lead in this population. The importance of the safe disposal of industrial wastes is stressed.
