[Valgus deformity of the femoral neck after nailing of infantile femoral shaft fractures (author's transl)].

In 6 patients out of 29 who had suffered fractures of the femoral shaft at childs age and were treated mainly by open nailing, considerable growth disturbances of the major trochanter and valgus deformities of the neck of the femur had been observed in check-ups. The origin and prevention of these complications in nailing and nailremoval are discussed.
