A young man was seen for a mass on the left side of the neck. Computed tomography revealed a round mass suggesting a lymph node metastasis with a necrotic center. Fine needle aspiration found mesenchymal cells. The tumor excised from its location on the Xth left cranial nerve was found to be a malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor. Treatment was complemented by regional irradiation. After concluding complementary treatment in April 1996, the patient currently is disease-free. This type of soft-tissue sarcoma is reviewed. Survival depends on tumoral size and cellular differentiation.
一名年轻男性因颈部左侧肿物前来就诊。计算机断层扫描显示一个圆形肿物，提示为伴有坏死中心的淋巴结转移。细针穿刺发现间充质细胞。从左侧第十对颅神经处切除的肿瘤被发现是恶性外周神经鞘瘤。治疗辅以局部放疗。1996年4月完成辅助治疗后，患者目前无病生存。本文对这种软组织肉瘤进行了综述。生存取决于肿瘤大小和细胞分化程度。
