[Corynebacterium urealyticum in urinary infections in children].

The urinary infection caused by C. urealyticum is a rare circumstance, especially in children. Authors present the etiology of these infections, in children admitted in the Pediatric Clinical Hospital "Sf. Maria", Iaşi, during 1997. This recently recognised uropathogen was isolated from three cases. Compared to other etiological agents, the frequency was 0.75%. This study presents the diagnosis and identification criteria for C. urealyticum and therapeutic challenges of this infection.
