[Hepatic echinococcosis--the complicated forms. The clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment].

This is a survey paper on the current trends in diagnosing and operative management of the complicated forms of echinococcus of the liver. The possibilities offered by the puncture-aspiration method, applied under echographic and computerized-tomographic control are assayed. Also discussed is the role and place of chemotherapy against the background of combined therapeutic approach.
