Abstract

The use of nonmetallic rigid fixation (plate and screws) composed of resorbable polymers (poly L-lactic acid and polyglycolic acid) for the repair of isolated maxillary (LeFort I) fractures was studied in 11 patients. Provided good bone (noncomminuted) was available for fixation placement, no differences were observed in intraoperative maxillary stability or long-term postoperative results.

对11例患者进行了研究,探讨使用由可吸收聚合物(聚L-乳酸和聚乙醇酸)制成的非金属刚性固定物(接骨板和螺钉)修复孤立性上颌骨(LeFort I型)骨折的情况。若有良好的骨质(非粉碎性)可供固定物放置,则术中上颌骨稳定性及术后长期效果均未观察到差异。
