A case of splenectomy with thrombocytopenia but without hypersplenism is described. The etiology, proven by splenectomy, was a splenic angioma. The isotopic examinations necessary to localize the site of a vascular tumor and the relations between thrombocytopenia and hemangioma are discussed.
