Clinical management of hydrogel-induced edema.

Clinical techniques and guidelines are discussed to manage manifestations of edema induced by hydrogels. Emphasis is on the pathogenesis of folds in Descemet's membrane (striate keratopathy) accompanying vertical striae that have been found to occur horizontally as well as vertically.
