Abstract

AIM

Evaluation of high resolution ultrasound to diagnose rupture of the medial head of gastrocnemius muscle in patients with uncharacteristic calf pain.

METHOD

66 patients with clinically unclear calf pain were examined in a prospective study.

RESULTS

Out of 66 patients, 51 showed sonographic criteria of a partial rupture of the medial gastrocnemius head. 47 ruptures were located in musculotendineus transition zone.

CONCLUSION

High resolution sonography detect minimal lesions of the medial gastrocnemius muscle in patients with clinically uncharacteristic calf pain.

摘要

目的

评估高分辨率超声对非典型小腿疼痛患者腓肠肌内侧头破裂的诊断价值。

方法

在一项前瞻性研究中,对66例临床小腿疼痛原因不明的患者进行检查。

结果

66例患者中,51例显示腓肠肌内侧头部分破裂的超声标准。47处破裂位于肌腱移行区。

结论

高分辨率超声可检测出临床症状不典型的小腿疼痛患者腓肠肌内侧头的微小病变。
