[Control of the efficiency of ligature of the pancreatic canal in rabbit (author's transl)].

The purpose of this work is to determine whether ligature of the pancreatic canal effectively stops exocrine secretion by the pancreas. Two methods of study were used: histology of the pancreatic gland and enzymology in the intestine. Optical microscope results, for rabbits with the pancreatic canal ligatured during 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 and 60 days, showed clearly pancreatic degeneration followed by regeneration phenomena. However search for trypsic activity in the intestine has given only negative results.
