Vitreocorneal adhesions were removed by anterior vitrectomy in 37 children. In 19 patients the adhesions developed after removal of cataracts and in 18 after penetrating wounds of the cornea. Vitrectomy was carried out 1 month to 6 years after the diagnosis, the mean term was 1.4 years. The intervention normalized the ratio between ocular chambers, improved the appearance, and appreciably improved the visual acuity.
