Physician case management. Reimbursement raises a controversy.

Home health agencies are finding themselves in a difficult position over the issue of reimbursement for physician care management. HHAs are generally aware that neither Medicare nor most other insurers will reimburse them for any payments they make to physicians for such activities, but some physicians may not be aware of the legal restrictions imposed on payments to them for certain case management activities.
