Abstract
Citing recent shifts in the economic and sociopolitical landscape, Mr. Hage claims that the pace and magnitude of future changes will only increase with the coming of the new millennium. Like the steam engine and other technologies driving change during the industrial revolution, he says, the computer is dramatically altering our lives today. The author describes both advances in computer technology and software limitations that will affect RIS.
