The panel formed by HCFA to give physicians a voice in the regulatory process has been so frustrated by the fluffy topics the agency has given it to review that one member has threatened to resign. But after a recent meeting between HCFA officials and the chairman of the Medicare Participating Physicians Advisory Council, both sides are hopeful that future agendas will include more significant topics.
