Michael Vasquez, president of Health Care Expert Systems, Inc., attended a meeting the task force on healthcare reform. After the meeting, he sent the following letter to Hillary Rodham Clinton, to members of Iowa's Congressional delegation and to Steven Schroeder, M.D., of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, who moderated the discussion along with Clinton and HHS Secretary Donna Shalala. Vasquez said he was "concerned that the role of information systems was not adequately represented as part of the possible solution during the discussion."
