Abstract
A special report on health management qualifications detailed the number of management qualifications. One aspect which deserves additional mention is the use of accreditation of prior learning (APL) which is a growing feature of management qualification courses. Sue Balderson and John Knibbs describe their research into the use of APL as part of an NHS trust's management development strategy.
