Abstract
Network design is a vital element of any PACS implementation. The involvement of Information Systems in PACS planning and implementation is essential to the long-term success of the PACS’s implementation and operation. Radiology equipment and PACS systems are now computer systems. Drawing on the capabilities of the staff in your organization who have computer expertise is essential to the long-term success of PACS implementation and operation.
