Abstract
The agar diffusion test is a simple but in most instances reliable method for the determination of the sensitivity of pathogenic bacteria, if it is performed under controlled standardised conditions and evaluated by defined criteria. The accuracy of the test results can be achieved by a permanent control of the test with control strains during routine testing.
