BACKGROUND

Sports nutrition involves the application of eating strategies to promote good health and adaptation to the training program, to recovery quickly after each exercise session and to perform optimally during competition.

OBJECTIVE

This article explores the many myths about sports nutrition principles and provides answers to the most common questions that arise in sports nutrition.

DISCUSSION

Good nutrition practices will enhance the performance and enjoyment of sport and exercise activities at all levels.
