Endosonography is superior to other imaging modalities (CT, MRI) and has to be considered as the most useful and accurate method in staging rectal carcinoma inclusive the invasion of the sphincter apparatus. Selection of patients for sphincter saving operation, local excision and in case of preoperative adjuvant therapy is greatly supported by endosonography and has to be considered as inevitable in the preoperative management.
内镜超声检查优于其他成像方式（CT、MRI），必须被视为直肠癌分期（包括括约肌装置侵犯情况）中最有用且最准确的方法。对于保留括约肌手术、局部切除以及术前辅助治疗的患者选择，内镜超声检查有很大帮助，在术前管理中必须将其视为必不可少的手段。
