Inter-professional collaboration between doctors, nurses and the professions allied to medicine (PAMs) will have to increase if the quality of patient care is to be sustained and improved, according to researchers based at Sheffield University's School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR). They have been collaborating with teams at the University of Bristol's School for Policy Studies, and the King's Fund Nursing Developments Programme.
