Abstract

Chloroquine added to human lymphocyte culture at the G1 stage had no influcence on the chromosome aberration level in the concentration of 15 mug/ml and suppressed the mitotic activity of the cells almost completely in the concentration of 60 and 100 mug/ml. At the G2 stage chloroquine in the concentration of 15 mug/ml had no cytogenetic effect and in the concentration of 100 mug/ml -- it increased the number of chromosome aberrations significantly.
