Studies were made on Bcg changes in 46 patients suffering from hypertensive disease stage II. These were compared to the phase changes in the systole of the left ventricle. It was established that more substantial phase changes in the systole of the left ventricle corresponded to a higher degree of changes in the Bcg. Emphasis is laid on the significance of complex cardiographic investigations in patients with hypertensive disease, as a comparatively easily accessible method for evaluating the mechanics of contractility of the myocardium. The method is a useful addition to the overall clinical picture of the disease.
