Residential care of the child-mother and her infant: an extended family concept.

A residential programs for single, young mothers and their infants uses the concept of a new extended family to achieve several purposes: training the mothers in parenting skill, giving them a chance of complete educations or vocational preparation, and providing care and developmental opportunity for the infants.
