Expulsive choroidal hemorrhage.

An unusual case of expulsive choroidal hemorrhage is described. The hemorrhage developed sixteen days after an uneventful cataract extraction and after the removal of corneoscleral sutures. The different types of expulsive hemorrhage, their pathogenesis and management are discussed. Eye surgeons are urged to handle this condition with determination and optimism.
