The flight activity of a pilot brings about peculiar changes in the asymmetry of physiological functions whose pattern depends to a large extent on the initial state of asymmetry. An inflight change in the functional state and the interaction of paired structures of the cerebral hemispheres results in a reduction of the predominance of the leading hand in pilots with distinct asymmetry preflight and in an increase of opposite asymmetric fluctuations in pilots with insignificant asymmetry preflight.
