Abstract
This paper describes how the history of a group of nurses who trained and worked in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham during the period 1938-1957 was captured and published (Clifford 1997). The time span of the book reflected the existence of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Nurse Training School before it merged with other schools to become the Queen Elizabeth School of Nursing.
