The author was a participant of 1939 September campaign and then a commanding officer of the Medical Health Officers Training Centre which, having been moved to Combourg on March 4th 1940, was transformed into the Medical Training Centre. The article based on author's memoirs and notes presents the faculty organization, principles of the training and selected names of its participants. There were five courses in France, the sixth, opened on 8th of June, was discontinued due to evacuation resulting from the German army invasion on 18th June 1940. This course was eventually continued in Scotland.
