[The apothecaries of Toruń in life of their city in the period from XIV century to 1939].

Basing on archival naterials the author has presented the part of apothecaries in life of city and social functions fulfilled by them as well as their patriotic activity. He has underlined, that this activity was always appreciated by the ones who were in regal or self-governing authority. In result this profession was well situated and there were consequences of this fact in form of favourable rights and privilages gained.
