[Ibn Djuldjul's treatise on theriac].

The physician and pharmacologist Ibn Djuldjul lived in the tenth century and wrote books relative to the drugs quoted or not quoted by Dioscorides and a treatise on theriac. In the latter, he presented, thanks to his experience, a theriac formula based on the data of Galen who had organized Andromacus's receipt. The orginality of Ibn Djuldjul consist in applying a mathematic method to explain why Galen has organized the entire simple and compound drugs in the preparation of theriac into seven groups and how he calculated the weight of the ingredients of Andros's tablets.
