One cannot develop the history of a scientific object called "hypnosis" without investigating its historicity and, at the same time, its scientific status. We cannot elaborate one, but several accounts, corresponding to the different strategies of time, according to whether one holds the position of science historian, historian, historian of ideas, psychologist, or psychoanalyst.
