[Structure of the circulatory bed in the walls of arteries of the elastic type in elderly and aged persons].

The work presents data on the structure of intramural blood vessels of the aorta arc and initial portions of common carotid arteries of men. It was shown that in elderly and old people there were clear manifestations of transformation of the microcirculatory bed and larger intramural arteries and veins, which might be due to altered conditions of metabolism.
