A 54-year-old male was 1948 submitted to a sectorial iridectomy because of a histologically proved malignant melanoma of the iris. 1971 an absolute secondary glaucoma had developed, and the eyeball was excised. Though histologically tumour issue of the original type was found in the chamber angle and ciliary muscle as well as around scleral blood vessels and subconjunctivally any clinical manifestation of generalization never was observed since the iridectomy 23 years ago.
