Hydrolysis of biological materials for histamine determination on the isolated guinea-pig ileum.

Conditions of hydrolysis of biological material for determinations of histamine (Hi) using the guinea-pig ileum method were investigated. Overheated vapour has been applied at varying intervals and it was found that optimal conditions for tissue He liberation are obtained after 2 hour hydrolysis in autoclave. Results were compared with the orginal Code's method.
