[Editorial].

The publication of this issue of the Zentralblatt für Neurochirurgie is an important moment in the journal's history: The members of the editorial board will hand over their responsibility. During the past decade of trusting editorial teamwork, the fruitful cooperation of the journal and the German Society of Neurosurgery has been successfully established and developed. Starting with issue 1/2002, editorship will be taken over by Prof. J. Schramm MD, Bonn, and a new Board.
