Abstract
In rats with protein deficiency a shorter time for the onset of sleep and the reduced sleeping time were stated, the level of hexobarbital being unaltered at the moment of awakening. The decrease in the amount of hexobarbital excreted with urine collected within 24 hrs and more rapid drug metabolism were observed in the experiments in vivo and in vitro.
