Gérard Troupeau is a Professor at the "Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes et aux Langues Orientatles". He is a well-known friend of the family. He has a perfect knowledge of the books of the XI degree century Arabic Medicine. With J. C. Sournia he contributed to create a circle of specialist students of the History of Arabic Medicine.
