[Eduction in community medicine in Iceland].

Instruction at health centres and in the home environment, which are important features of the psychological and social sections of medical education, has been neglected. Students are prepared for good relations with the patient only by means of a few isolated lectures and through the example provided by organ-centred hospital specialists.
