The incidence of fungi found indoors and outdoors from 13 sites in the central and western United States is reported. Hormodendrum was the most frequently isolated fungus from all sites. Exposure from the more arid sites produced fewer fungal general than those from humid areas. Indoor exposures frequently produced more fungal genera than outdoor exposures.
